Finally A Win

Leeds United 2 Oldham 2

The Leeds fans stayed away last night in their droves, much to do with the freezing weather as to the recent form of Grayson's boys poor form. However it was Luciano Becchio who scored twice in eight second-half minutes to lift the tension at Elland Road as Leeds got their promotion bid back on course.

Becchio was left with a 53rd minute tap-in when Jermaine Beckford cut in from the left and his shot was parried by goalkeeper Dean Brill to the Argentine who scored his ninth goal of the season. Seven minutes later Robert Snodgrass supplied a pinpoint cross for Becchio to head past Oldham keeper Dean Brill.

This was a good performance from Leeds who needed a big result against Oldham who had beaten them in their previous two meetings and sets them up well for their local derby with Huddersfiels at 12.30pm on Saturday.
